The Expresso Morning Show on S3 is thrilled to announce Carissa Cupido. Starting from 27 May 2024, Carissa Cupido will join the beloved morning show, bringing her infectious energy and dynamic presence to screens across South Africa.
Carissa Cupido, a renowned Radio & TV host, MC, Voiceover Artist, and digital content creator, is set to become a household name for Expresso’s loyal viewers. Having returned to Cape Town from Johannesburg in 2021, where she hosted a popular radio show, Carissa joined Good Hope FM as the host of Culture Beat and now The Weekend Special.
She is also the official female voice of the station’s imaging, a role for which Good Hope FM has been nominated for a Radio Award in 2023.
In addition to her radio and TV endeavours, Carissa has made a significant impact in the digital space. She has worked tirelessly to create engaging content across her social media platforms, partnering with both household and global brands to produce authentic and creative narratives true to her story.
Commenting on her new role, Carissa said, “Being afforded the opportunity to wake up South Africa every day is a God dream, I feel so honoured to take on this chapter; every step in my career has led me to this moment. I’ve spent the last 9 years ploughing the broadcasting fields, so to speak, it’s harvest season! I’m so looking forward to sharing laughs and heartwarming conversation along with the rest of Mzansi and also bonding with the seasoned professionals Carl, Graeme, Ewan, and Ryle and of course the effervescent Zanele!”
She goes on to say: “This moment really means the world to me. Growing up, I never could have even imagined myself being on a platform as significant as Expresso. I didn’t always see women who look like me being reflected on TV, but when God says yes, there is no going back. I’ll be the first in my family to do something at this level and I’m always reminded that this isn’t even about me, it’s about those that will draw inspiration and encouragement from the beautiful work I get to do. I’ve spent some time with the Expresso family and know that going forward we will get the country set up on the right foot to tackle every single day. I can’t even contain my excitement to get started!”

Zoe Brown-Anderson Bids Farewell to The Expresso Morning Show
As Carissa joins the team, the Expresso Morning Show also bids a heartfelt farewell to Zoe Brown-Anderson, who has been a cherished presenter since winning her slot on Presenter Search in 2015. Zoe has been a bright light on the show, bringing warmth, authenticity, and passion to her role. She is embarking on a new journey with her husband in Australia.
Zoe commented on her departure, “I’m going to miss my Expresso family immensely! Those watching the show, those on the show and those who made the show. My entire TV career started with Presenter Search, and I have never looked back. It was a privilege to grow up in front of our South African audience, and saying goodbye is bittersweet. Thank you for all the wonderful years Expresso and S3… and I can’t wait to come back and visit.”
Good Hope FM Welcomes Carissa’s New Chapter
